Bird Brain

We’ve had a very exciting day watching the ducklings hatch and we now have 3 fluffy little babies in the brooder. It’s been a totally magical experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. We still have one egg with a live chick yet to hatch. We can hear it cheeping and it rolls around every so often. We hope that he/she will make an appearance tomorrow.
D and I walked cross country to The Pear & Olive for a lovely dinner. When we got home we stared at the ducks for a while with Poppy and Johnnie, oooohing and aaaahing over them and their hilarious antics. They seem to love sitting in their food bowl and, at one point, they all fell asleep together in it.
D is sorting out a huge piece of beef for tomorrow’s lunch as we have my parents and Ted, Jo and the boys over for the day.
