Colour in the garden

25 years ago I could look down on this rhododendron but it has grown considerably as you can see.
 It has been a lovely sunny day and we visited a neighbour in hospital who had a severe stroke a while ago and lost mobility and speech. He now manages to walk fairly well and even managed the stairs as we took him out for afternoon tea at a local Nursery. His speech is still a problem but he is determined to improve and we admire his determined spirit.
It makes you realise how you can be leading an active life one day and the next your outlook has completely changed. He was full of praise for the staff in RNI who have been helping him.
Thank you all for the good wishes yesterday, I may have had a birthday but I am not getting any older as I stopped some years ago.
