Boomtown Tree Rat!
I was upstairs in the living room logging on to my laptop this morning at 6:30 and I saw this chap halfway up the big tree opposite the house. My camera was close by so I grabbed it and caught him before he changed his mind and ran down again. The camera was still on yesterday's sunny setting unfortunately. Oh well.... Never mind!
Poor squirrel! I did feel sorry for him. He started to rush up the bird feeder, saw the dome and dropped back down looking annoyed. He stood back with his hands on his hips eyeing the weird object that had appeared on the pole to thwart his breakfast plans. I saw him disappear over the wall to the Savoy Park Hotel a little later. He clearly fancied a change of venue.
It was a reasonable day work wise and I was able to log off at my usual 3:15 having reached a convenient breakpoint. Mom and I went for a walk down Racecourse Road to the Secret Garden cafe/restaurant and then we trundled back home via the beach. It was still windy out and I wasn't in the mood to take pictures. It was good to get some fresh air between the showers anyway.
Track? I'm sure Mr Squirrel would have chosen this one today - I Don't Like Mondays
