Day 1

Drove down to the south end of the Lake District and dropped off a toiletries bag with friends who had forgotten to take it with them when they set off for a weeks holiday.

We then stopped off at Cartmel where I had a look round the pioPriory which is magnificent.
The village is moe of a hamlet with very narrow streets and some rather fancy eating establishments.

We then headed off to where we were staying
