The Woodland Garden (Friday 8th April 2022)
I hoped to get out and about today having thought I had sorted out all outstanding admin duties the day before, but found the morning taken over by them, including an e-mail exchange with my surgery's senior complaints officer and a phone conversation of over an hour with British Gas at lunch time. So a fifteen minute stroll around the garden (while being barked at by next door's out of sight dog) was all I could manage.
The tulips are starting to come up in the Woodland Garden now providing welcome colour. The first bluebells are starting to emerge and in the Front Yard the self-seeded green alkanet is looking healthy (in Extras) - I will probably blip this next week for Miranda's Wildflower Week.
With thanks to BikerBear for Flower Friday.

Tokyo Large Ensemble Curators - Walking By Flashlight (recorded live, 26 March 2022, Tokyo)
I mostly know Maria Schneider, who wrote this, from her work with David Bowie on his recording of Sue in 2014, which I loved, and a couple of other pieces. On Tuesday night I heard Sara Mohr-Pietsch play this piece on Night Tracks (Radio Three), but by the Maria Schneider Orchestra. That doesn't seem to have reached You Tube yet, but here is a newly recorded live recording that I approved when I heard it online today.
