Daffodils growing alongside Cut Wood.
No saint in the Oxford Saint Dictionary.
There are so many good things to be thankful for this beautifully blue skied sunny Friday morning, but a long walk around Rishton was a joy.
I have walked 7607 steps and lost one pound of weight. I am not glorying in my small achievement, as I have 8 pounds still to shed!
I went to the park and woodland. I hope to share some of the many photos I took this morning on less sunny days. The wild birds must have been as thrilled as I was with seeing the improved weather. It is 8c. I heard the songs of a chaffinch, a greenfinch and a robin. I photographed a coal tit and saw playful magpies walking on a roof top. Blackbirds were present in the woodland where daffodils are still flowering around the oak and beech trees.
As I was nearly home I came across Patricia, who lives on my street and we share a passion for writing poetry and food growing. I was glad of this street chat as we tend to not see each other for a while then we have much news to catch up on.
Her grand daughter is studying for a nursing degree.
My niece is a paediatric nurse and returning to work after extended maternity leave for baby Elliot who is 10 months old, bless him.
Have a good day everyone.
Prayers for Ukraine and for anyone who needs to know the love and salvation of Jesus Christ and love of Mother Mary.
