Edinburgh is having a tram line built - you might have noticed! So far, it's not been a big success. The best estimate is that the cost so far is roughly £40373638393030,0000000000 and that the project is 21 years behind schedule. The original scheme was for 15 miles of track, but officals are now confident that the slighly truncated network of 163metres will be open for travel by 2078.

FYI: I'm only slightly exaggerating for comic effect...
