Ripon Cathedral - the statues and carvings around the Cathedral are shrouded in sack-cloth until the great unveiling, Easter Eve, celebrating life over death. 

We’re not sure when this tradition started, probably in medieval times, and it is thought to be linked to the hunger cloth, hung over altars during lent.
