Union

A day with a relatively free diary, so I decided to add some more miles to my Canal Challenge 200 quest. Took the train through to Haymarket and walked up to the terminus of the Union Canal at Fountainbridge and headed west.

About two hours and five miles later I had reached a natural stop-point at an industrial estate and retail park just before the Canal crosses the Edinburgh City Bypass. Time for a coffee and a scone before catching the train home from Edinburgh Park station. Forty-two miles now logged, 158 to go. And a short holiday booked for the end of June so I can add the Crinan Canal (and a few other attractions!) to my list.
