Red Yucca

This is the shoot of the red yucca plant - the shoot that holds the buds that you see.

If you look towards the bottom, you can see one of the buds opening to show a yellow color. When it opens like that, it's showing the flower.

These are very attractive plants for hummingbirds.  I already saw one whiz by.  It will soon be time to start sitting on the patio to stalk them.  Can't wait!
