Fairy Dust

The gold fairy dust that covers all of the cactus flowers and especially this magnificent beavertail cactus flower is pollen.

Look at the fairy dust more closely!

I haven't seen many bees yet but they will soon be buzzing from flower to flower, doing their thing.

I will be especially careful around the bees this year. They have been in the news as travelling in large groups and building huge hives quickly. They have been documented as getting violent rapidly, if even slightly diusturbed.

I'm going to find the name of a bee keeper so I have someone to call if they built a hive near me.
