A Souper Day
My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,
A nice quiet day at home. It is dark and grey out today, and the rain came down all night.
It has put me in the mood for soup. Fortunately there were two cans at the back of the pantry, dating back to the 2020 lockdown.
I have eaten the both of them. With toast.
The feeling of warm fuzziness continued when I moved into the spare bedroom for a Teams meeting. Dave was already in there, sheltering from the inclement weather, and Jasper decided he wanted to hang out with me too.
And then Dr. Girlfriend turned up on the window sill wanting to be let in. Soon the four of us were having mid-day naps together.
Caro came home from her first ever driving lesson an hour later, which is when she got this much-deserved love from all three cats.
Caro's driving lesson went great by the way. She is full of enthusiasm and excitement. And she wants to buy a car to practise in.
And, as if the day could not get any better, we then had a video call with Reg and Claudia. If you do not remember, Reg is our groovy Edinburgh pal with all the chat about the coolest music as well as being the nicest man you could ever meet.
We signed off after 20 minutes of laughter asking each other, "Why have we never done this before???"
So now we are. May 30th for a virtual party with Mo, Loulou, Tiger, Reg, Claudia and us. It only took us 2 years of lockdown but we're finally figuring it out.
S.
