Tiny Silhouette
This idea started out differently, but playing around with the levels created an interesting silhouette in line with what I've been thinking about in terms of shadows.
I made a short guide for visitors to my hometown for the wedding website today. It's a strange thing to try to choose what is and is not worthy of mention, and what to say about each park, restaurant, bowling alley, or bar.
I had to convert a lifetime of memories at one of my favorite restaurants (the place where my dad took me for soup and salad when I was sick and missing school, where I spent New Year's eve with all my friends and family a couple years back, whose owner I ran into while living in San Francisco, where my dad always tells the same "relevant" stories) to "a small Italian restaurant on the edge of downtown; try the pesto ravioli." Something is missing there.
In this photo, the color, detail, and texture of the temple are gone, you would only know its a Chitzen Itza figurine if I told you; but somehow it still says "try the pesto ravioli".
