Ever had beetroot in your granola?

Nor me neither. Until this week. When I saw a recipe for a pink granola I had to try it - not for the colour alone, but mainly because I have a surfeit of beets at the moment and I keep dropping them into kvass. So, this was an alternative.

Buckwheaties, sunflower seeds, raisins, & date syrup with raw beets. It isn't actually that pink when made up; the deyhdration takes the edge off the colour. But it certainly makes your milk go a dainty shade of flamingo.
