A necessary coffee this morning.

I had to take a trip into our local town this morning to collect a parcel from the Post Office Depot. As it was still early and fairly quiet I went into the Café Botanico in House of Fraser for a fortifying coffee.
Shopping accomplished and parcel retrieved, I came back home.
I fully intended to do a bit of a longer walk this afternoon. In the end having walked round to sort out my repeat prescription at the chemist which is located within our GP group practice building I couldn’t sum up any enthusiasm.
One item had been missed off. I had a long wait there before I could speak to the chemist. They recommended I then go through to the GP reception area and show them the prescription.
The receptionist was very helpful and reauthorised the missing item.
It will be ready in “a few days”.
When I got back I tackled the job of authorising a new bank card for M&S which has arrived.
As it was still mizzling and grey outside with a coolish wind, I didn’t much feel like stepping outside the door once again.
It’s almost teatime and we’re having some homemade soup and bread, made by Stephen.
We will then prepare for the grandchildren coming tomorrow morning as usual.
No news on schools yet………
This evening a bit later on we’ll be watching “Mastermind” then the “University Challenge” final, and possibly an episode of “The Ipcress File” which is being serialised and is excellent.
Michael Caine was in the original film.
