Eighteenth Visit!
(3/4/22)
It's a really good thing that G is on her spring break. We were tired after last night, so again, a leisurely morning. I had work to do before the invoicing system is closed for month-end accounting.
G prepared a (pork) roast dinner for Jeff & Margaret, who arrived promptly at 4. We had a great time catching up and eating delicious food. We then washed up and raced to the meeting.
Chatting with friend Catherine at the end, she said she wanted to go to the EXPO to see it in the evening. She's only been once, and as it is the second last day, it's her last chance. Always being up for a trip there, we offered to drive her and spend time with her showing her what we could in the time we had. She was thrilled.
We got there around 8:30 and tried again for Germany. (She heard our story about wanting to visit all 192 country pavilions). We managed to get into Israel and the USA. We then tried to get on the Garden in the Sky ride. That had a 40-minute wait, so we went on the hunt for a coffee. By this stage, outlets were shutting down. This was unexpected on the day before closing!
We caught a glimpse of the Water feature during the night. That was a treat. Finally, walking back to the gate, it was good to see that the IKEA cafe, located in Sweden (of course), was still open and serving food, so we stopped there and listened to the concert on the same stage that we saw Gloria Gaynor the night before. It was an Indian artist tonight.
We dropped Cath back at her car before getting home, just after midnight, tired but happy.
