Canigou refreshed

With the recent cold snap and snow above 1,000 metres, the mountain has regained its winter whiteness. We were able to ring eight of the ten bells this morning. There followed a special 'Prayers for Ukraine' service. Afterwards, there was a PCC meeting to vote for substantial funds to be sent to the appeal. Refugees are being welcomed into the department and it is encouraging to know that they are not having to go to the same lengths to obtain visas and overcome administrative hurdles as those wishing to go to the UK. It was still cold but bright and sparkling in the sunshine so I walked up to the belvedere before lunch.
