Centenary Stone, Derwent Water

Weather set fair today.  After a very hearty breakfast at our hotel, we set off for Great Wood and walked to the Centenary stone at Calfclose Bay.  Spent quite a while taking photographs there and got chatting to people also there to photograph it.  We all formed an orderly queue.

From here to the Flock Inn at Rosthwaite for coffee.  Tasty.  We then drove along the west side of Derwentwater and walked down to Brandlehow Bay.  I wanted a photograph looking across the lake to Blencathra but didn’t like any I took.

From here to Lingholm for a late lunch and then home.  Great day and wonderful weather.  Feel refreshed after a couple of days away.
