Fingers Crossed.
Normally we see Long-tailed Tits ( Aegithalos caudatus ) either in family groups after the breeding season or as part of the winter flocks of Tits moving through the garden. Recently a couple, presumably a pair, have been regularly hanging round the garden.
I am hoping, against hope, that they will stay and breed with a nest that I can see. To me, there is no wonder in the nesting world to match a Long-tailed Tit nest. A small domed structure built from moss, lichen, feathers and cobwebs, yes cobwebs.
