Just after Victor had his first melanoma diagnosed, Mary Doll called…

MD: “I was wondering if you might want to go to see a variety show with me?…”

Me (inside voice): “Do I f…”

MD: “…It would just be something to look forward to. But don’t just say ‘yes’ just because I want to go”

There really was only one answer.

Me: “I’d love to.”*

But tragically I am unable to go as I am self-isolating!**
