Cuddling the baby

I can imagine the scenario; a baby crying and mother wanting the crying to stop. So she takes the push chair and walks down to the river where the rushing water has a soothing effect. I witnessed this scene on my way to French conversation. The tennis lesson that should have proceeded it was cancelled, but I got no explanation why. I received a call from the letting agent who told me that the flood in our previous home had been somewhat overexaggerated  and that all that needed to be done was replacing a seal on a toilet inlet pipe and emptying water out of a downstairs light. It could have been much worse.
