New dolls house

I bought this dolls house before Katie's 2nd birthday, intending to probably give her it for Christmas that year. Shortly after her birthday, we moved into a smaller house. 3 months later we moved into a slightly smaller still house. Where we live now. I hadnt figured out where to put the dolls house, so it remained hidden at the back of the understairs cupboard. Until today, when I figured out where to put it. I then of course couldnt wait until her next birthday which is still over six months away plus I wanted to tidy the cupboard out. So as a bit of a (big) treat after she spent a morning going between asking to help with the jobs I was doing and playing outside with the rabbits, I set it up for her. I managed to get all the room sets laid out and everything before she came into her bedroom, bored of "just wait, I have a surprise".

She spent a very long time playing with all the little people. She particularly liked the mini toilet and bath, and the fact it has a rabbit in a hutch with it. I like it because its one that can be painted and decorated so now she has it we can spend time together choosing paper and things for the walls and doing little curtains.

We had a bit of a later than normal lunch. She learnt to use the cheese grater, help me make the pasta sauce and did a great job. She then ate a massive plate full, not doubt spurred on by her own involvement!
