MrsP asked me to thank you all for the lovely and generous birthday wishes! • The sun was deceiving today because it was quite chilly with gusty northwest winds. Our trip to the river was cut short because of it…we were both cold! Thankfully we found this Northern Pintail duck right off swimming along with a mallard couple. Isn’t he stunning with his chocolate head and white neck stripe? We were treated with a sighting last year too. He hung out with a group of dabbling mallards for a couple of weeks before continuing his way north for mating season. I’d love to see a female, but perhaps I have and I just don’t realize it… • Glad to be back home, inside :) • Another Monday, another week, and the war in Ukraine continues.
