A roadside memorial
This morning I went for a walk from near West Felton with 16 members of the walking group.
My blip is of a roadside memorial to Wing Commander David Wilkerson who died in November 1943 when the Martin Baltimore aircraft (a lightweight bomber) that he was in crashed into a hillside shortly after taking off from Rednall airfield close by. A sad end to the life of a brave man that had survived 47 ops.
This afternoon I had a check up at the dentist, fortunately nothing needed doing - always a bonus!
This is my 3000th blip. It should really be a springtime blip as it's the first day of spring but I expect I'll be posting plenty of those in the near future.
