Union Canal

I blipped this lovely spring view of the Union Canal as I made my way to a drive through Covid test at the WGH.
There is no alternative option listed should you and your nearest and dearest living locally not have cars. I suppose there must be an alternative but it certainly wasn’t spelled out. It fell to a kind friend to take me for the second time in 5 weeks.
On the last occasion I acquitted myself well with not even one tiny gag as that bendy swab was pushed down my throat but this time it was a different story. Considering I can gag brushing my teeth, it was no surprise that the inevitable happened- I can only hope the gags were ladylike.

It’s another lovely day and the Meadows is alive with the sound of students chattering as they lie sunbathing on the grass. The air feels too cold for me to sit outside but I see lots of bare arms and legs. I haven’t seen a barbecue yet this evening, they will come but it still early.
