A Play, A Pie and A Pint
Beautiful day in town and the Glasweigans certainly make the most of the sun when it's out! For P's birthday I got us tickets to the lunchtime 'A play, a pie and a pint' which takes place in an old church that has been converted into a bar, resaturant and music venue/theatre. Pretty cool place. It being lunchtime it was a bit early for P to have a proper pint so it turned into a play, a vegan sausage role and an irun bru / ginger beer, but the food was good and the set up was slick.
The play was called 'Milkshake' and was a left wing protestor in a restorative justice with a right wing Justice Minister, after the former threw a strawberry milkshake over the latter. It was really good and got you thinking, some great writing and performing for a short show. We'll be back in the future if we get the chance.
We arrived a little early for the play so bought some fantastic cinnamon buns which were as big as your face and sat and ate them in the grounds of the botanic gardens. With all the people aout and about and sitting outside in cafes in the sun, town had a real 'continental' feel about it today, which is a word I never thought I'd use to describe Glasgow.
