Salt shaker

A relaxing work day of putting almost finishing touches to the proposal the team is working on. A lunchtime break to meet up with someone who’s interning and wanted to learn more about conservation careers. I headed for the very lovely Tunduru Gardens but she didn’t show and I hope all is alright as I didn’t get a response from her on the only medium I have for her: LinkedIn. I lingered by the bushes for a while anyway, taking advantage of the outing.

In the evening, some much overdue socialising. I had a couple of gins with Alexis, a British friend who has lived in Mozambique for over a decade. His boisterous three-year old daughter was with us, trying to shake salt over everything, and he apologised for not being able to sink several beers as we’ve been known to before. Not a problem as two gins with a friend by 8pm counts as wild boozing and social contact based on recent activity.
