You can almost smell the scent.

After yesterday's deluge of rain it was a joy to be out in brilliant sunshine.

I had intended to scarify the lawn here but it was too wet. Instead a large buddleia got a proper prune and some Lonicera,which I've been allowing to grow, was clipped into a basic flowing shape.

Other gardens ended with the cottage close to mine and the sound of blackbirds singing at the end of the day is a sure sound of spring.

Even saw a couple of Brimstone butterflies during the day.
