Redneck Swag

Here we are in the booming metropolis of Brenham, Texas, home of the world's best ice cream! Tomorrow is the 35th annual Blue Bell Fun Run and my first 10k. But hey, I've already run a half marathon, so BRING IT! (And we get free ice cream at the finish - who could say no???)

Among the lovely items in my swag bag was a tire gauge. A FREAKING TIRE GAUGE! Seriously. I'm a runner, why do I need a tire gauge? But it's fun and Kim didn't get one in her bag... I also scored a toothbrush and toothpaste which Kim was also not privileged to get. Fortunately Gillian did as she didn't manage to bring hers. SMH.

Up for the award of Best.Swag.Item.Ever is the package of bluebonnet seeds! Along with being Blue Bell (which happens to have been named for a blue flower) country, Brenham is also Bluebonnet country. Hoping to stop and take some pictures of our beautiful state flowers along the trail tomorrow.

Off to bed for me. Gotta get my sleep on tonight so I can get my run on tomorrow!
