Pink

Pink. It's my color. I love pink. These are my favorite shoes. When I think of having to replace them, I can think of nothing other than an identical pair. Pink. With some green. Sauconys.

These shoes have helped me extend myself beyond my comfort zone. I ran my first half marathon in these shoes. 13.1 miles. They got dirty. But they got me through the race. They gave me confidence. They are an extension of me. They provide the support and protection my feet need to continue my journey.

The bling on the laces represents my accomplishment and my accomplice. My half marathon is represented by the green 13.1 and the green shamrock (The don't call it the Seabrook Lucky Trail for nothing!) My accomplice is represented by the "running buddy" bling. Kim is my partner in crime. The reason I run as much as I do. She had this hare-brained idea to run a Disney half marathon... There's a pretty medal involved...that trip is in the planning stages for next January.

So here we are. One half marathon down, who knows how many to go. Kim has her eyes on more Disney bling which only means more miles on my pink Sauconys and more $$$ for race fees and travel....

Did I mention she's all about the bling? ;)
