A rainy walk
It's not been particularly good weather today. I only went out for about 20 mins first thing this morning and I got soaked.
After breakfast I went out for my long walk of the day because Ann was working 1-5pm this afternoon and when she comes home she's too tired to take me far. We walked for 5 miles and I got very, very, very, wet.
This is the only photo that Ann took of me because her phone was in one of my poo bags a clean one obv in her pocket.
When she came home from work she took me round the block but it was raining again. I've gobbled up my dinner and am back in my little bed snoozing again. I really am the most chillaxed little collie pup ever.
And in other news..................................
Late yesterday evening, Ann got a notification from the 'NHS Covid-19 app' to say that she had been in close contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID. (Ann didn't even think that the 'track & trace' app was still working???) This apparently had occurred on 13th March 2022
This is really bizarre for a variety of reasons....................
1 Ann deleted the 'Scottish track & trace' app from her phone in November 2020, when it told her she'd been in close contact with someone and so she 'legally' had to self isolate. On the day that she had supposedly been in close contact, she had seen no one, but she'd been swimming at her fitness club and had left her phone in a locker, which she thinks had 'spoken' to the phone in the next door locker.
2 Ann has always had the 'English' track & trace app on her phone, which she used to check into places when she was in Cornwall. In the early days the Scottish app didn't work in England and vice versa??? You could only have one app active at a time.
3 Considering that the 'English app' must have been 'active' on Ann's phone since she deleted the Scottish app, it's amazing that she hasn't been 'pinged' before????? She's constantly on buses and they really must be the worst breeding ground for COVID
On the 14th March Ann went out for lunch with 'old' people (she'd done a LFT first) and then on 15th March she'd worked all afternoon in a shop and then spent the evening with a friend?!!! She's worked all afternoon in shop today too.
4 On the 13th March 2022, the only person Ann saw, was her friend Iain. They went to the pub together (which wasn't busy) and sat in a booth which was separated from the people in the next booth by a Perspex/plastic screen. The rest of the pub wasn't busy at all and no way were Ann or Iain in contact with any other people for 15 mins or more.
5 When Ann clicked on the 'notification' thingy it just said that all COVID-19 guidance has changed for positive tests. .................'If you have any of the main symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test result, the advice is to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.' ............BUT this is the 'English app.
6 Ann did a test on Saturday because she was going out with old people. Negative. Ann did a test on Monday because she was seeing old people. Negative.
She's just done another one now because she was paranoid that she had COVID because the app told her she'd been in close contact with someone who had tested positive. It was negative.
…........No wonder people have mental health issues??????????????
PS - My human popped into the local chemists after work this afternoon to pick up another box of LFTs. All gone. Will try again tomorrow.
