Run away!!!

It has rained, really tipped it down, since before I got up and it's raining still. I'm making no apologies, but this is a shot from yesterday that I took off the camera this morning; go shoot me, I ain't a-gonna go out today.

I really wanted the lark ascending. I know it's possible. But not a chance. In the air, fine, gotcha mounted in the extra. Taking off? I have plenty of tail feathers in perfect focus... It's a challenge for another day.

Even so, I did like this shot of the running skylark. I'm not sure but I'm guessing this is the smaller winged female. They're pretty identical and while only the males sing a-wing I think she is saving her breath for running!
