Sally Mair - Loving life

Another beautifully sunny morning to wake up to. Having strengthened myself with sufficient cups of coffee I headed out into the back garden again. I managed to get the rest of the main back bed wedded and dug over so I'm very pleased. My Robin was back again to keep an eye on me. I love the way they fly silently away when they are startled. You can just see a corner of one of my hellebore. It got trodden on and badly damaged a couple of years ago, I almost threw it out, but I've nurtured it back to life. I'm very pleased as it is a rather pretty variety
I was very pleased to spot the fish in the pond again today (extra). It's very little, but clearly managed to hide from the otter's visits. I gave it some food today to encourage it! It only needs to survive a few more weeks, then I'll have a more substantial mesh over the pond which will hopefully put an end to the night time raids.
I found myself very tired again today by late afternoon, early evening. I'm not sure whether it's just the shock of working in the garden or something I should be concerned about. Or maybe (whisper it) I'm just getting old.
Stay safe folks, lots of covid cases just now, I know, why don't we stop wearing masks next week, that'll soon fix that!
