Wholly Communion

My second gig in two years was well worth the wait.

The ever-excellent This Is The Kit played a divine show at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral tonight, and M and I were there in the front row to enjoy every second of it.

Band leader and songwriter Kate Stables (vocals/guitars/banjo) was on fire; chatty and hilarious throughout and clearly giddy with the excitement of playing live again after the enforced lay-off of the last 2 years. And probably still on a high from having played the Royal Albert Hall earlier in the week. The whole band (Rozi Plain (bass/vocals), Neil Smith (guitar), and Jamie Whitby-Coles (drums/vocals)) are superb musicians and the cathedral sound was pristine. I was in heaven! I even managed to snaffle Rozi Plain’s set list at the end!
