Mediterranean?

It was a perfect day for our walk and we opted for a foray into the Peak District. We started in the village of Alstonfield and headed out along Wolfscote Dale, with a circular route back. We did encounter some mud but much of the way was just like this photo. It almost looks like we're walking in the Med!

Just over half way we got a phone call from dad's carers saying he was rather unwell and they'd called an ambulance. So we made our way back (as quickly as we could?) We just arrives as the paramedics were leaving. he had sever abdominal pains but they said at that stage they didn't think it was a hospital visit. But they said to call back if his condition didn't improve over the next few hours. So I sat with him but things did not improve. 

Another ambulance called and this time with lots of pain relief he was taken to A & E. As we couldn't go with him we stayed at his flat and took the opportunity to give it a bit of a clean while he'd gone. That's not always and easy task when he's at home. He likes to think he does it (when he doesn't) so gets annoyed with you when you try and help. 

I was exhausted as it had been a long day. So it was off home as we couldn't do anymore, and we knew he was in the best place for help.
