Had a bad nights sleep- looked at the clock at 3.55 and don’t think I’d slept before then. It often happens when I don’t sleep in my own bed. Had breakfast and walk d with Ju and Betsy the dog from the grounds of Newstead Abbey to Papplewick. Had coffee and a scone at the tea rooms and then walked back. Lots of the walk is through woods- all part of the old Sherwood Forest so there are lots of old trees. Came home via Hucknall to collect some chalk paint to trial on some dining chairs and then via Sherwood to buy some metal label holders - unsuccessful. Did pick up a delicious sausage roll for my lunch though. Started to pour with rain . Was going to carry on to nursery where I bought my hedging plants from for advice re staking but there were long traffic queues ( bad collision involving a motor bike) so went home. Did a bit of tidying and sorting but soon collapsed on the sofa for a very lazy evening and an early night!
