a day of two halves

My 'lunch' break was at 11am today and I managed a lovely walk of just over a mile around the block. This beautiful prunus blossom was in Lovers Walk, just around the corner from The Usual Place. As you can see, the sky was blue and it felt quite Springlike outdoors. The cafe was busy at lunchtime and at one point we had to put out the "cafe full" sign out. My feet were still a bit sore from yesterday's walk and I was on them for 8 hours.

By 4.30, when I finished work, it was a different story  weatherise - wet, grey and cold. I didn't feel like walking anywhere so I went to WHSmith and browsed the books before catching the bus home. It was so wet that the water actually came in through the door of the bus when we drove through puddles on the road.

I soaked my feet when I got home in some warm water with Epsom salts and then enjoyed the pasta bake and chocolate tart which Sarah and Chris had made for tea.

Have a good weekend everybody :-)
