Stunning crocus

This beautiful little crocus was growing all by itself in a roadside grass verge and just demanded to be photographed. The light on the original shot was almost luminescent and contested with the dark colours of the petals.

A busy day which is still going on as we’re heading north to Edinburgh tomorrow for a week or so visiting two sets of relatives one in in the city, the other in Glasgow before heading to Forres to see the third set next week.

The railway held the first “Second Tuesday” Zoom meeting for members tonight. Four of us were giving a presentation about Environmental Sustainability on the railway. An issue of increasing importance on our railway and all heritage lines (and other coal burning machines) seeing as the burning of coal and diesel is central to our business.
