Off your trolley

After over 48 hours the rain reluctantly gave up this afternoon to be replaced by its associate, a cold northerly breeze. There were even bursts of sunshine. Now and again the rain made a desultory comeback until teatime when it gave up all together.

Today’s blip presented itself when I went to Tesco to fill up for tonight’s journey to Northampton on the first stage to Keswick. All plain sailing. Arrived here in even time.

Had a look at the traffic cameras on the M6 and it all looked clear as far as Kendal where it seems the cameras have gone walkabouts so we’re hopeful that tomorrow will be fine.

Thank you for the updates of conditions in the Lakes. We’re wondering what the weather will deliver. We have our spikes and there’s always the lowland routes.
