Not again!

Today was a frustrating day - structured around a furniture delivery.  I did a yoga class and a swim this morning and a quick trip to the Range to buy some door hooks.  I sent No.2 a picture for approval - this was a standing joke as he hates anything ‘Live, Laugh, Love’!   I bought some plain chrome ones instead but this made me smile.  

Home for a bowl of yesterdays soup as I was ravenous after swimming.  Furniture delivery expected between 3 - 6 so I did indoor jobs despite it being a nice afternoon for a walk.  OH was playing golf at Littlestone Warren so I was staying in.  My phone pinged with a text at 2.40 to tell me my furniture delivery was now scheduled for 4th April………!!!  I phoned up the company and held on for almost two hours ( listening to ‘cut your throat’ lift Muzak) only to be told that because of my address ‘……. Lane’ the furniture needed a Luton Truck and not a large articulated lorry and there was no room.  What a lot of unacceptable excuses and poor service.  However the carpet is still delayed so I have to be philosophical about it and file under ‘first world problems’ when considering everything else going on in the world.  So I will live with my half finished bedroom for a few more weeks.
