Cakelates

The official name of our running group is ‘Runlates’ (pilates for runners - and yes, we are getting hoodies) but there are now several additions to the name. Once a month it turns into publates / beerlates which usually ends up with chiplates. Today, it was cakelates for my birthday.

A very annoying day with a failed MOT, some expensive fixes and more time on my bike than I had prepared for. Thankfully, our college group at lunchtime was good fun and full of cheer. And Ellie is back. She kept grinning at me during our session which was massively off-putting. I thought I’d said something stupid but it turns out she was just so happy to be back amongst people!
