Not the hazel but Putin.

The news and images from Ukraine continue to instil a sense of gnawing sadness and at times helplessness. The sadness never quite goes but the helplessness is offset by tales of courage and news of positive responses from across the world.

The impact of what has been unleashed even so far will last for years if not decades. I hope that the intense feelings we now feel are remembered as we face the consequences of higher energy prices, goods and services in the years ahead. The price of liberty comes at a cost.
