Scalp-ed

Another day when the planned blip did not get used.

All going well. Online church service. Post service coffee chat on zoom. Then into the garden to hand rake the lawn for the second time ( the machine scarifier was not as effective as I hoped although it had pitched up stones and moss).

Grass seed down and I went the get a large shelf from under the stairs to level the surface and press the seeds into the soil and lawn sand In moving the shelf I did not see that it had caught the corner of a heavy and sharp edged box which fell, edge on, onto me from the top of a cupboard.

Ouch!

While the cut was a reasonable size (2-3 cm) the flow of blood stopped quickly. A helpful call to 111 clarified that stitches were not required and what was needed was sitting still.

So far all well. No headaches (paracetamol no doubt helping) no throbbing. Only slightly tender and no other signs of concussion.

Our son kindly finished off the lawn and covered it with protective fleece.

Not how I’d planned the day but glad not any worse.
