Backdrop Blues (65/365)
I'm experiencing one of those "It seemed like a good idea at the time" moments. I've volunteered to retake my company's website photos ahead of its website relaunching.
It should be a fairly simple endeavour. I'm going to use a single light (beauty dish, LED light) a strip box to light up the backdrop and a white reflector. Bish, bash, bosh, as the British say.
But you see, the problem isn't the light, or the reflector, or even the godforsaken stripbox. It's the backdrop.
I bought a babyblue backdrop off Amazon for about £10. You clip it to the rigging and let it hang - easy as anything.
BUT DESIGNATED ROOKIE MICHAEL JOHN OLIVER FORGOT ONE THING: sheets crease. They CREASE, Jerry!
So, now I'm weighing up whether I should buy a cheeky travel hand steamer ahead of the shoot, or just use one of the office walls as a backdrop, as I have done so in today's Photo of the Day.
(Yes, it was supposed to have the blue back drop, but it's so ridiculously creased, it looks like I ripped the duvet off a toddler's bed.)
Anyway, here's the face of disappointment. You're welcome.
