I did take some photos today, but deleted all of them. so this is a guest photo from S.
Yesterday was a good day, but I took no photos. G and A have arrived to spend a week here, so after Saturday morning intercambio we walked along the seafront to meet them for lunch at the indomitable Sabina's. It was great to see them again and catch up, and as usual lunch was excellent and very good value. We sat down at 2 pm, and got up from the table at nearly 5, at which point all the other customers had gone and the restaurant staff were eating lunch.
We'd walked there in reasonably balmy temperatures, but as we left it was getting chilly and threatening rain. So S and I were pleased when a car pulled up beside us after we'd only walked about 200 metres, and it was neighbour Ines, who gave us a most welcome lift up the hill. The sofa called me for a snoozle, and not much else got done the rest of the day.
Today S, G, and A went on a walk with the group from Almuñecar. So here's their view from near Illora, north-west of Granada. A reminder that Spain produces 66% of European olive oil -- way ahead of Italy, at 15%.
Meanwhile I did two loads of washing, some knitting, and finished re-reading Winifred Holtby's South Riding, thanks to the Backlisted podcast. So I can listen to this week's episode now. It was sunny most of the day but not warm enough to sit outside, and Mystère was most peeved to actually get wet due to a mid-afternoon rain shower. The others had better weather on their walk.
