Ships ahoy!

A trip to Port Nelson at midday with a fellow Blipper, Vicki, to see a large container boat arrive from Port Lyttleton which gave us plenty of time to snap a few other boats. In the Blip can be seen, Keta the 200 metre container ship and TS Alpha a 187 metre bulk carrier loading logs. The Ports three wharf crane can be seen and also the large container handler forklifts that I used to drive.

I will now exceed the 100 mark on Marine Traffic where I have been uploading pictures of ships for awhile. They have quite a high standard, Marine Traffic that is, and the pictures have to conform to their regulations which I think makes it more interesting.

I took Vicki round to a couple of spots she was not aware of and now has some more nautical Blipping opportunities.
