Outdoor Cure

There's a lot going on for young people right now (and for everyone, let's face it). Wherever possible, we hope to be a team who young people can talk to when they are feeling anxious about the world, but even better when those conversations can happen out of school and in the outdoors.

This morning we took our John Muir group out for some adventures. We started with a barefoot safari - the ground was so cold that our feet were as numb as they were muddy by the time we reached the waterfall. We washed our feet in the stream then made some stone statues. Then we made a fire and toasted marshmallows before making clay art. A wonderful morning!

Following this were a couple of manic lunch clubs with lots of lively young people. The most surprising part of my job right now is the realisation that mullets are back. Like, for real
