And Yet, I Still Love Her

Dear Miss Huffy Puffy was out of sorts this afternoon when the Handsome Neighbor visited.  As I attempted to give him a treat she started to growl and I made the mistake of trying to remind her what a delightful neighbor he is and how lucky we are to have him around.  Since he was on the other side of the glass door, she took out her annoyance on my foot which was close by.  Yes, she drew blood and now I have a sore and bandaged foot.  It could have been worse.  I probably deserved her wrath both because I was on the Handsome Neighbor's side and I also used a bag of squirrel peanuts to discourage her from attacking further.  
She's cooled down now and we're friends again.
