Early Evening in Orkney

An overcast day, a very breezy day, but it’s been a day I have valued.  I posted yesterday’s Blip before going in to see Davie in the local hospital.  As previously outlined, he’s really struggling and now can’t support himself as he has lost all feeling below his waist.  His kidneys have been ravaged.  However he was quite perky because he’s been allowed to recommence some of his chemotherapy which had been withdrawn.  He was allowed home last weekend.  He’s spent 3.5 hours at home in the last three months.  He’s so spirited, he speaks so eloquently and truly appreciates the time he has.  It’s truly humbling to visit him.  He’s even placed an order for homebakes from CMC next week! 


The only thing of note today was a passing vessel skimming the Flow; along until the early evening sky had obviously not thoroughly rehearsed.
