Frog breeding season
Today is World Wildlife Day so I thought I'd post a picture of the pond, as this is one of the things I've done for wildlife on my allotment.
I've been keeping an eye (and ear!) out to see if frogspawn is on the horizon. Frogs will start breeding anytime now. I've provided plenty of logs and high grasses for hiding places and pond plants have started growing.
I also noticed the water snails are back (I couldn't see many during the winter months). Need to check if they're good and what they do.
Happy World Wildlife Day and hope you're doing your bit for wildlife too...
